Stairs

When we moved,

I was concerned the kiddlets wouldn't like the stairs.

BOY O BOY was I wrong!

They LOVE LOVE LOVE the stairs!

They can regularly be found playing on them,

running up and down, up and down!

Candy's Canines

So Captain is back to being a good boy....

Candy is as usual, being nearly perfect!

She is less and less like a puppy every day.

We figure she is about 8 months old now.

Unfortunately her baby canines have not fallen out,

her big girl canines have grown in right next to them.

Looks like we will need to take her in to get them removed :(

She keeps getting things stuck between them,

and being the sweetheart that she is, she has let Seth floss them!

Flossing just doesn't seem like a long term plan,

so sometime soon we will need to set up an appointment.

Captain is being a good sport and letting us practice holding him like a baby!

I think he figures he best cooperate to stay in our good graces!

Bad Boy Bad Boy!

Saturday morning the kiddlets and I got up. We went outside and then came in and had a bath. The bath left Captain extra super slick and while they dried off they they were not wearing their collar or harness. I decided to head out to do some errands and as I slipped out the door... CAPTAIN escaped!

He ran and ran! Could you ever think a tiny little pup of 6 pounds could be fast like a cheetah?! In the panic of the moment Candy slipped out as well, however she was more interested in staying close to me and not gallivanting off into the wide open world. The little stinker thought we were playing a game and kept turning around and practically snickering at me!

I almost had him and then it happened!

I tripped and fell on the pavement! I was even lucky enough to have an audience! After I picked myself up I was able to grab the little devil and hobble home. I cut up my foot, the palm of my hand and have these gnarly painful huge road burn marks all over my knee.

When we got inside Captain was put in his crate, ALONE! He then realized he had been a bad boy a very bad boy. Normally if he is placed in the crate alone, he whines and cries. Not this time, he sat alone to contemplate his behaviour. Once he was let out he felt very bad, I could tell. He just had a momentary lapse in good judgement!

He's back to being a good boy now...
and has been a good nurse maid to aid in my recovery.

VICES

It has come to our attention that Captain has a vice... A vice that is a little funny, highly annoying, easy to avoid and so strange! Captain has a thing for whizzing on bags placed on the floor! Over the past few weeks anytime a plastic or paper bag is on the floor he decides to life his leg. What is it about these bags that is so enticing?! Does he realize it's a bag with trash or recyclables in it and that it will soon be taken outside to the garbage pick up, making the opportunity to spread his scent further that much greater?! Probably not and the only good thing is that he doesn't lift his leg anywhere else in the house and if we just remember not to leave any bags on the ground we can avoid this little mess.

Boy Furiends... do any of you out there have a similar proclivity?

Captain has is bags... while Candy can't abstain from collecting socks and bringing them to me. The other day I was working away and looked down to find a HUGE pile of various socks at my feet. She was sitting in the middle of the socks happy as can be chewing her bone. She doesn't care if they are clean or dirty and just LOVES to seek them out and collect. Maybe I could use this to my advantage and train her to pick up other things... she could be very useful around the house and the possibilities are endless!

Kousin Klohe....

The kiddlets had their own Thanksgiving visitor... Kousin Klohe!

Klohe is a well behaved 6 month old Miniature Schnauzer!

She has bells on her collar so you always know where she is.

The kiddlets met Klohe back in September,

when she was a heck of a lot smaller!

After a small grumble and tumble the kiddlets and Klohe became

a fast pack running up and down the stairs and hanging out.

Sometimes if the kiddlets felt Klohe was overstepping

her guest standing (like trying to take a drink with them),

they would get feisty... Klohe thought this was an invitation to PLAY!!!!

I think she liked it better when the kiddlets got all grumbley!
